About our theme: Making Lives Better

The Fund’s mandate over the years, has been to extend social security to as many members as possible. Despite the restrictions under the NSSF Act, the Fund has been able to continue on its innovation journey and to encourage everyone to make savings part of their lives. As part of our purpose, we have not restricted our membership to only the formal sector, but rather continued expanding coverage by finding ways of reaching everyone to join us on this saving journey.

The Fund has leveraged on technology to grow our members’ savings and has continued to offer a competitive return amidst the Covid -19 pandemic, reaffirming our commitment to giving a better life to our members.

We have adapted to working in the new normal without compromising the quality of services we offer to our members. We held a successful first ever virtual Annual Members Meeting, the first Virtual Financial Literacy sessions, Virtual Career Expo, Virtual Supplier Forum, Virtual interviews, Virtual Hi- Innovator programme launch and our Self-Service Electronic channels have enabled our customers to access our services from wherever they are, limiting physical contact.

Our Hi-innovator programme has driven products like “Yollo-Save” geared towards reaching the lowest income earners in the country and making saving as easy and convenient as possible. In addition to that, listening attentively to members’ needs and understanding their challenges during these unprecedented times has been critical to us this financial year.

It has been a combination of internal culture, close customer relationships and a commitment to continuous improvement in making our members’ lives better.
